Staying Busy with LEGO sets from Target
Hey friends!
Like most of you we are still pretty much stuck at home and not a lot is open. I‘ve been trying to come up with ways to keep the girls busy and entertained during our free time. I like to limit their screen time and I just don’t feel comfortable letting them have more than 30 minutes to an hour a day. So I have to get creative with ways to keep them entertained. I took a trip to Target to see what I could find and I snagged a couple new LEGO sets.
LEGO sets are so fun. I remember playing with them when I was a kid. I just learned that LEGO was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen and the business has been passed from father to son and is now owned by Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, a grandchild of the founder. I think it’s pretty awesome that it’s remained a family owned business.
They are really enjoying their new LEGO sets. They allow the girls to use their creativity and encourage imaginative play. I picked up the LEGO Friends Heartlake City Movie Theater Set and the LEGO City Family House Building Kit. They have so much fun building and creating these fun imaginative sets. I enjoy watching them utilize the directions and figure out how to put everything together. I love seeing how accomplished they feel once they have competed their masterpieces. Building with LEGO is a great activity that we can do together as a family and keeps the girls entrained for hours. I definitely recommend them. You can also check out the entire LEGO NINJAGO collection from Target here. Happy playing!!
