DIY Trick or Treat Bags

This year I thought it would be so fun for the girls to decorate their own trick or treat bags for Halloween! I found these canvas tote bags at hobby lobby for just $1.99! Then grabbed some felt sheets, fabric glue and ribbon. This craft was very affordable and a fun way to create your very own treat bags!!

Supplies:

Tote bag

Felt sheets (we used glitter sheets too)

Fabric glue

Ribbon

Scissors

Fabric pen/chalk (to write on the felt with)

First you will draw and then cut cut out your designs. I recommend using chalk or a fabric pen to write on the felt. We started off using a pen and it bled once we applied the glue and you could see it through the front side of the design.

This is where you can get really creative! You can put any type of character, a name, a saying, cute shapes and/or designs.

Once you’ve cut your designs out. Then lay it out onto the front of your bag to see where you want to place everything. Then start glueing it all on!
