Camrynn's Boho Bedroom

I’ve never done a room tour before so I’m very excited to share this room with you guys. The room is decorated in a girlie boho theme. Camrynn loves her room and spends a lot time reading and hanging out in here. Her bed is a full size, it's a vintage antique store find so I’m not able to link it for you but I can link a similar one here. The bed was originally espresso colored and I painted it white. We use a lot of OpalHouse pieces by Target in her room because that line has a fun boho kind of vibe. She specifically asked for coral and pink and luckily I was able to find those exact colors.

Her comforter is white with some embroidered details, then to give the bedding a pop of color, we used this bright coral sheet and pillowcase set. Then for a nice laying effect we use these pink and yellow pillow covers. Then included a couple fun decorative pillows we already had from Targets Opalhouse line when it first launched and from Ross. At the end of the bedding we added this fun fur throw. It is so soft and cozy, she loves to cuddle up in it when we watch movies. Her pom pom rug is so cute and adds another pop of color to the room.

Above her bed we hung this very cute boho rattan mirror.

On each side of her bed we put these very stylish and affordable night stands. She loves that they have a drawer. She keeps whatever book she is currently reading as well as her bible in the drawers.

On one of her night stands we have her oil diffuser, which we use every night before bed and during the day when she is hanging out or reading in her room. I wanted a cute place to store her oils so this cute basket set worked perfectly. Next to her nightstand we keep a basket where she stores her favorite stuffed toys and dolls.

I love small shops pieces because they always give a room that added whimsy. I love this rainbow print from a small shop called Indy and Pippa, it was a digital download that I printed myself. She also makes the cutest bows. This macrame wall hanging is from a small shop called Dear Knot, I love this color!! She also made the beaded tassel sitting on the nightstand.

The other night stand we added this pretty gold lamp. This lamp is perfect for kids because it is a touch lamp. She loves that she can turn it on or off with a simple touch. We also keep a mini himalayan salt lamp on this stand because it's a great air purifier and mood booster. You can read more about the benefits online. Above this night stand is a one of a kind painting from one of my favorite small shops Love and Grey. Her work is pretty popular and I was so excited to be able to snag this print because it works perfectly in this space. Next to this night stand we placed a cute pom seagrass basket from Hobby Lobby. This is where she can store some of her favorite books.

Her curtains are pink velvet with coral tassels. I just love these curtains. I was ecstatic when I found them because I love all things velvet!! I'm obssessed with this gold curtian rod, its pretty much going up in every room in the house. The rattan hanging wall baskets were a thrift store find for $2. Yes you heard that right, $2 you guys!!! Since I can't link them, I did find something similar here.

One of the things she requested in her room was a chair and a desk area. Since the room is so small the desk wasn't going to fit. We have a desk/ homework/office area in the house so I told her that will have to be where she does her work and homework. But,I was able to get a chair in here to create a nice sitting area for her.

I found this cute chair for an amazing price at my local TJMaxx. I added another cute Indy and Pippa print to her room. This Wild Flower print was a digital download for only $5!!. I took it to my local FedEx and had them print it for me on 16X20 thick matte cardstock. Then I purchased the frame from Hobby Lobby, and Wah La!! I put this cute pink fur rug under the chair. Threw on some fun decorative pillows like this cream pom pillow and this mini macrame pillow. Next to her chair is this cute faux cactus, it adds some boho vibes and I don’t have to worry about anyone getting poked, it’s a win, win!!

Next to her door is a hanging wall rack. I got it from Target over a year ago on clearance. It’s the perfect place for all her purses and backpacks. We placed a bulletin board above it so she would have an area where she could hang photos, notes or mementos that are special to her. I found this super cute rainbow garland from a small shop called Kiki&Bee. The colors are just perfect for this space and it adds just the perfect touch of whimsy.

******UPDATE******

After shooting all the photos of her room I felt like something was missing on the wall in front of her bed. So I went searching on Etsy and found some rainbow wall decals that were customizable!! I ordered them from a small shop called Ash and Olive Co.. She has a selection of colors to choose from, you pick three colors and she custom makes them for you. How fun right!! Well they came in the mail, we put them up and we absolutely LOVE them!! They are so whimsical and fun!!

Her room use to have an outdated ceiling fan, and while a ceiling fan is totally practical here in California (especially with our 100 plus degree summers) She said she wanted a “cool” light fixture, so I obliged. I found this one on Amazon for a really amazing price. I may order another one for my room because the price was just so good!!

She loves her room!

(closet tour and links below)

I also redid her closet. Even though it’s not the most glamourous part of the room, it is super functional and did not cost much to do! So I thought it would be totally share worthy!

Her room is small and there isn't enough room for a dresser. Her closet is also small so I wanted to find a way to maximize the space and make it functional.

So I first added two of these cube organizers, which I stacked on top of each other. Each cube organizer comes with an extra wooden dowel. On the top and bottom of each is a hole on each side, you can place the dowels (2) on the top on each side to connect them so they don’t slide off of each other. Then they each come with wall anchors so you can achor each one to the wall to prevent them from tipping over on a child. They are very secure and I feel comfortable and safe with this method. Then I purchased these closet hanging racks from Home Depot. If you have a large or long closet these might not work for you, just be sure to check the expansion dimensions. I added two to maximize the space since this is a small closet. Giving her double the space to hang her items.

I bought these Woven baskets that fit perfectly into these cubes. They are organized by item. Starting with the top two, one is for undies and one is for socks. Moving down, one for shorts, one for leggings, one for skirts and so forth. Since we cant fit a dresser in the room this works perfect for storing her clothing items that can't be hung up.

I left a few of the cubes without baskets so she would have a place to store accessories. I bought a clear bins from Home Goods it work great for storing her sunnies. I also picked up this necklace and cactus bow organizer from Home Goods.

Across the top of her closet is an eclectic assortment of baskets I found little by little while thrift shopping. These hold seasonal items like hats and gloves, her umbrellas, swimsuits, and just extra storage for items that are just hers. In other words, stuff she doesn’t want little sister to get into. I plan on adding some tassels and poms to these baskets to spruce them up a bit, I'll share when I do.

Well that concludes this room tour!! I hope you enjoyed it! Let me know what you think and maybe I will do more room tours in our home!
